[Scrotum 1]

Out of the 500 submissions I have reviewed, this certainly isn’t the best one. I have for sure seen better and worse. However, there are many things I like about this. For starters, the music has an upbeat vibe to it. Similar to how Scrotum must feel when playing catch! The intro is also very nice. Scrotum having his head shot out shows the viewer right away what to expect. It also foreshadows how newgrounds would have a lot more gore in the future. Madness Combat 1 wouldn’t come out for another two years! The animation is simple, using tweens. The artsyle makes the whole thing look good. The shading is really impressive, considering the newest version of Flash at the time was Flash 5. Finally, the twist of Scrotum being thrown a grenade instead of a ball is a good twist. Again, this foreshadows newgrounds culture of dark humor.
