if you do have it, they won't treat you differently.
from my experience, the most you'll get is someone questioning what it means/what it's like to be on the spectrum, you'd have to encounter a massive piece of shit to find someone who'll judge you for it.

Sorry to break it to you, but the world is full of massive pieces of shit. You are more likely to meet like minded people in online communities, but if you enter the world of work expecting everyone to be nice - it will not work out well imo.

as an autistic person myself, getting diagnosed can be stressful, especially when you look at it from a social viewpoint. but if you find more people that are autistic near you, it can be grounds for a new friendship! and there will always be someone that'll stick by your side, i promise!
